Three Persons Hit, One Fatally, in Targeted Shooting on Saint Louis Street
November 27, 2016
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A targeted shooting outside 1728 Saint Louis Street just before 3 p.m. today resulted in the death of a woman and the wounding of two men.
Charity Adams, 41, died at the scene. Her boyfriend, Kenneth Pullens, 26, suffered a wound to his back. They were visiting the man who lives at 1728 Saint Louis Street, Chad Steven Miller, 33, who was shot in the head. Both Pullens and Miller are in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The investigation shows that Adams, Pullens and Miller were outside Miller’s residence when a gunman, who had dreads and wore black clothing, approached and opened fire on them. After the gunfire, he ran to a waiting silver Malibu sedan, which fled the area.
This is the second fatal shooting outside Miller’s home in just over a month. On October 24th, Robert Richardson, 24, was fatally wounded after driving to Saint Louis Street to pick up Miller, his co-worker. Miller told detectives that he got into an argument with a man that led to gunfire. Detectives want to talk to Miller and Pullens, as their medical conditions improve, to determine if the shooting this afternoon is connected to the October 24th case, which remains under active investigation.
Anyone with information on those involved in today’s shooting is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
