Metro Nashville Employee Recruitment and Resource Fair on December 10
The Office of Mayor Megan Barry is coordinating a Metro Employee Recruitment and Resource Fair on Saturday, December 10 from 10AM to 2PM at the Metro Southeast Regional Community Center. Residents of Nashville seeking employment are encouraged to come and learn about both current and future positions with Metro Government and our partners.
“Metro is a great place to work and have a career that also gives back to the community,” said Mayor Barry. “Nashville is strongest when we have the most diverse, qualified pool of applicants for these important positions that serve the taxpayers of Davidson County. I hope anyone looking for a new or better job will come out and learn more about what Metro has to offer, while having the opportunity to learn vital skills for finding a job in Nashville.”
Attendees of the event will have the opportunity to talk with representatives of more than 20 Metro departments about current and future career opportunities including:
• Nashville Fire Department
• Emergency Communications Center
• Water Services
• Metro Nashville Police Department
• Public Works
• Metro Codes Department
In addition to learning about Metro positions, human resources experts will offer an “Interviewing Skills” class at 11AM and again at 1PM to teach best practices for interviews. There will also be qualified career counselors on site to provide resume critiquing, and representatives of the Financial Empowerment Center will be available to give tips on how to better manage financial resources.
