Public's Assistance Sought in Identifying Hit & Run Driver Involved in Fatal Crash

December 18, 2016

Crash Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the hit and run driver who struck and fatally injured a pedestrian early Sunday morning on Nolensville Pike near Welshwood Drive.
The pedestrian was walking on Nolensville Pike at 3 a.m. when, according to witnesses, she was struck by a red pickup truck.   The woman, who was not carrying identification, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.  Efforts are underway to identify her.  She was more than 1,000 feet from the nearest crosswalk.

Evidence at the scene suggests that the pickup truck sustained moderate front end damage and is missing most of the grill. Anyone with information about the vehicle and/or its driver is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
