Metro Nashville Government and Davidson County Establishes Short Term Rental Complaint Hotline


This new hotline will allow citizens to report short-term rental violations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Terry Cobb, the Director of the Department of Codes and Building Safety announced today the establishment of a complaint hotline designed specifically for reporting complaints related to short-term rental properties.

The hotline will allow users to report illegal short-term rental properties and for reporting noise, parking, trash, and other nuisance complaints pertaining to specific short-term rental properties. To file a report, users can go to or call 435-787-4357 or 435-STR-HELP, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

This new number should only be used to report complaints related to short-term rental properties. All other complaints should be reported using either the Codes online link on the codes webpage or by calling 615-862-6590.
