Woman Charged with Attempted Murder of Her 7-Month-Old Son
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Youth Services detectives early this morning charged a Goodlettsville woman with attempted criminal homicide after she allegedly attempted to suffocate her 7-month-old son who was a patient at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
Jennifer Sandor, 23, brought her son to Vanderbilt for unexplained medical episodes that left the child blue and limp. Hospital staff Friday witnessed Sandor use her hands to cover her son’s mouth and nose, preventing him from breathing. The child was in obvious distress and struggling to free himself. Sandor released the child only after staff intervened.
Sandor is jailed in lieu of $200,000 bond.
