Annual Christmas Parade Steps Off Tomorrow Morning Downtown; Road Closures Begin Early



Nashville’s 64th annual Christmas Parade sponsored by Piedmont Natural Gas is scheduled to step off tomorrow morning at 8:30 a.m. on 1st Avenue North at Union Street.       

The parade will travel south on 1st Avenue and then west on Broadway to Rosa L. Parks Boulevard before dispersing on Rosa Parks.      

Street closures will begin at 3:30 am. Saturday in the performance area on Broadway at 5th Avenue.  The Woodland Street Bridge will close at 4 a.m. for the staging of parade elements.  The parade route will close at 7 a.m. in preparation for the Rudolph Red Nose Run that begins at 7:30 a.m., and the 8:30 a.m. beginning of the parade.      

The I-40 Broadway exit will remain open.     

Police officers will be lining the parade route to help ensure the safety of all.
