Two Men Under Indictment for May 11 Murder at East Nashville Apartment Complex

The continuing investigation into the May 11th murder of James Welch at Fallbrook Apartments on Dellway Villa Road has led to the indictment of two men on first-degree murder charges.

Taurus D. Williams, 21, of 150 W. Trinity Lane, was taken into custody this afternoon at his residence by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force. Roddarrius Jenkins, 24, is in custody in Kentucky and will be returned to Nashville in the near future.

The investigation, led by East Precinct Detective Jesse Holt, shows that robbery was the motive for the fatal shooting of James Welch, who was 22 at the time of his death.

Jenkins is a convicted felon. He was found guilty of robbery in 2015 and received a five-year sentence.
