Two Persons of Interest Sought in Targeted Murder Outside North Nashville Z-Mart

North Precinct detectives are asking for the community’s assistance in identifying two gunmen responsible for Thursday night’s targeted murder of Louis Lisi, 56, outside the Z-Mart convenience store at 26th Avenue North & Clarksville Pike.

Two men wearing clothing that appears to match that of the gunmen were in the store prior to the shooting and were photographed by a surveillance camera.  They are persons of interest and are wanted for questioning.  Anyone knowing who or where they are is urged to immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.  Persons calling Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.

The investigation at present shows that Lisi, of Murfreesboro, was in a trailer outside the store and was reportedly operating a game of chance.  William Fox, 64, of Nashville, was seated in a car near the trailer and was acting as security for Lisi.  The two gunmen approached Lisi and Fox at 8:20 p.m. Thursday and opened fire.  Lisi was fatally wounded and died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  Fox was shot in the car.  He was treated and released from Vanderbilt.  Detectives are investigating whether the gunmen had prior interaction with Lisi and Fox earlier in the evening.
