Fourth Person Arrested for October Murder of Teenage Girl

A fourth person has now been arrested for the October 8th fatal shooting of 16-year-old Deberianah Begley in the James Cayce public housing development.      

Mohamed Miray, 21, of Hickory Hollow Place, was taken into custody by North Precinct officers during a traffic stop Monday evening at 18th Avenue North and Clarksville Pike.  Miray is under indictment on a charge of first-degree felony murder.  He is being held in lieu of $500,000 bond.      

Begley was fatally injured as she tried to run for cover when one group of young men fired shots toward another group in the 700 block of South 8th Street.  Already charged in the case are Jamarius Hill, 16, Anonio Gordon-Jenkins, 17, and Tomaz Kerley, 23.
