Two Teens Arrested for December 19 Attempted Robbery-Shooting in South Nashville

With the assistance of a tip to Crime Stoppers, South Precinct detectives Wednesday identified and arrested the two persons alleged to have been involved in shooting a man during an attempted robbery outside his auto repair business.
Arnold Marks II, 19, and a 15-year-old girl were taken into custody late last night at the girl’s Hamilton Avenue residence. Marks is charged with attempted especially aggravated robbery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is jailed in lieu of $52,000 bond. The 15-year-old is charged with attempted especially aggravated robbery at juvenile detention.
Guillerino Ruano, 28, was shot outside Ruano Auto Repair on Ezell Pike just before 11 p.m. on December 19th. Ruano said as he was driving to the shop that night, he noticed a vehicle start following him near the intersection of Harding Place and Antioch Pike. He said as he parked at the shop and got out, a female in the car, alleged to have been the 15-year-old, yelled for him to come over. Ruano said when he did, a male, alleged to have been Marks, demanded his belongings and shot him in the back. Marks and the 15-year-old refused to give statements to detectives last night.
