Bringing in the New Year in Bustling Downtown Nashville? Arrive Early!

12/28/2017

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Folks planning on bringing in the new year in bustling downtown Nashville Sunday are encouraged to arrive early and allow plenty of time to get to your concert, restaurant, Music City Midnight Celebration, or other event.

Keep in mind that the Tennessee Titans game against the Jacksonville Jaguars has been moved by the NFL from a noon to a 3:25 p.m. kickoff.  The usual Titans traffic management plan will be implemented at noon.  The Woodland Street Bridge will close to regular traffic at that time, and will then be available to only pedestrians and shuttle buses until the game crowd disperses.  The Woodland Street Bridge is expected to reopen at approximately 8 p.m.

Fans going to the game are reminded that all Nissan Stadium parking lots are sold out.  Fans are encouraged to arrive early and find parking downtown, or ride an Inshuttle bus from Greer Stadium at 534 Chestnut Street (Inshuttle service will start from Greer Stadium at 2 p.m.).  There will be no game parking and no shuttle service from downtown state employee  lots on 10th Circle North on Sunday, as those lots have been reserved for New Year’s Eve festivities.

The Music City Star train is also providing transportation downtown for Sunday’s game.  More information is available here: http://www.musiccitystar.org/Middle-TN-RTA-Titans-Game-Day-Express-test2017.asp
