Detectives Ask for Assistance in Identifying iPhone Robbers

Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three brazen iPhone thieves who shoved a Wal-Mart sales clerk to the ground while taking nine phones from a display cabinet at the Rivergate store on New Year’s night.

Surveillance cameras photographed the three robbers.  The man wearing brown pants and a white shirt entered the store about two minutes before his accomplices and walked to the electronics counter.  He expressed interest in an iPhone.  The other two men then approached the area and waited for the employee to open the locked iPhone cabinet.  When he did, the man in the gray hoodie shoved the clerk to the floor while the man in the pink hoodie grabbed the phones.  They three then fled the store.

Anyone recognizing them is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.  Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.  Persons can also send an electronic tip by texting the word “CASH” along with the message to 274637(CRIMES), or online at
