Officers Searching for SUV Involved in Overnight Fatal Hit and Run Collision

Officers continue to be on the lookout for the dark colored, possibly maroon, SUV involved in this morning’s fatal hit and run collision in the 300 block of W. Trinity Lane near Brick Church Pike.

The man killed is identified as Michael C. Anderson, 49, who was homeless.

The preliminary investigation shows that Anderson, for an unknown reason, was in the center turn lane of W. Trinity Lane at 1:15 a.m. when he began to walk toward the north side of the roadway. It was then that he was struck by the SUV, which was traveling west on W. Trinity Lane. The vehicle did not stop. Anderson was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he died.

Anyone with information on the SUV, which has front end damage as a result of the collision, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
