14-Year-Old Arrested for Saturday Night's Armed Robbery of a Woman on Thompson Lane

Coordinated work between Midtown Hills Precinct detectives and Juvenile Crime Task Force officers led to Wednesday night’s arrest of 14-year-old Brian Thompson for Saturday night’s armed robbery of a 32-year-old woman in a Thompson Lane parking lot.

The victim was walking in the parking lot at 6 p.m. Saturday when a young man and a young woman approached her. The young man, now identified as Thompson, pulled a pistol and demanded her belongings. A teenage girl with Thompson then struck the victim in the face and grabbed her purse.

The investigation led Detective Ricki Armstrong and Juvenile Crime Task Force Officer Brandon Tennant to Knollcrest Apartments on Creekwood Drive Wednesday night. While there, they located Thompson who was in possession of the victim’s cell phone. Thompson later admitted to the robbery during an interview. His female accomplice has been identified as a 16-year-old who is presently in custody in an adjoining county. A robbery charge against her is forthcoming. The two also remain under investigation in other recent robbery cases.
