Planning staff member wins Walk Bike Nashville Award
Each year the Walk Bike Nashville Board of Directors and staff vote on awards to recognize the individuals or organizations that have contributed the most to walking and biking over the past year. The awards are announced each year at the Walk Bike Nashville Annual Celebration. From Walk Bike Nashville:
Jason Radinger and Peter Bird - Government Officials of the year: Jason Radinger (Metro Public Works Bikeways Coordinator) and Peter Bird (Metro Planning Active Transportation Planner) are the behind the scenes leaders for all things bikes. The dramatic improvement in bicycle lane quality and quantity over the last couple of years are largely thanks to Jason and Peter. Their focus on expanding protected bicycle lanes around the city will have a lasting impact on Nashville for years to come. We look forward to riding on the many bicycle lane projects that they are currently working on!
