Mayor's Office "Opportunity Now" Online Portal Now Open For Youth To Apply For Summer Jobs

Youth ages 14-24 can go to the Opportunity Now homepage and create an account or log in to their pre-existing one. They can then fill out any necessary information and then click “apply” on positions of interest. The deadline to apply for summer positions March 18. Summer opportunities are paid, six weeks long, and provide training and development for youth transitioning into their first employment experiences.
“As our city continues to grow and prosper, we need our young people to be best prepared for the economy of the future,” said Mayor David Briley. “Opportunity Now presents an incredible opportunity for Nashville’s young adults to gain valuable work experience, develop useful skills and earn a paycheck. I strongly encourage all eligible and interested youth to apply.”
ON will also host a series of Q&A sessions across the city for youth to learn more about the program and how to apply through the portal:
ON is entering its third year. In its first two years, approximately 15,000 youth signed up for employment, many of whom participated in ON’s year-round Direct Hire program Almost 4,000 young people have worked through ON’s summer programming.
