***UPDATED*** Driver Facing Two Counts of Vehicular Homicide for Overnight Crash on Nolensville Pike
UPDATED: Howard McLemore, 52, was arrested on February 2, 2019 after being discharged from Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Howard McLemore is facing two counts of vehicular homicide and one count of vehicular assault for killing his passenger and another driver in a two-car head-on collision early this morning on Nolensville Pike at Paragon Mills Road.
McLemore, 52, of Madison, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro the wrong way on Nolensville Pike (south in the northbound lanes) when he collided with a 2009 Honda Civic. The impact killed the driver of the Civic, Joaquin Bastidas, 25, of Nashville, and injured his passenger, Ibrahim Viera, 18, of Arizona. McLemore’s passenger, Sandy Burns, 49, of Nashville, was also killed.
McLemore was admitted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. An officer who saw him there noted that he appeared to be impaired. A blood sample from McLemore will be analyzed for alcohol and drug content by the MNPD crime laboratory. He will be booked on the arrest warrants when he is discharged from the hospital.
