LGBTQ Liaison Officer Catie Poole Today Launched the Safe Place Program

MNPD’s LGBTQ liaison Officer Catie Poole today launched the Safe Place Program, first begun by the Seattle Police Department, where persons can safely wait as a police officer responds to a reported hate crime call.

Officer Poole visited Local Honey, 2009 Belmont Boulevard, Tribe, Play, and Suzy Wong’s House of Yum, all in the 1500 block of Church Street, and the Oasis Center on Charlotte Avenue. More program participants will be added in the coming days and weeks.
