Pedestrian Hit Early Sunday on Lebanon Pike Dies



The pedestrian struck by a Kia minivan early Sunday morning on Lebanon Pike near the Wilson County line died Monday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The victim is identified as Ernest Reeves, 74, of Old Hickory.

Reeves was attempting to cross Lebanon Pike north to south from the Double E Bar to get to his RV at 12:38 a.m. when he was hit by the minivan driven by Bazi Bana, 54, of Nashville. Bana said he did not see Reeves in the roadway. It was raining at the time and visibility was poor. No charges are anticipated against Bana.
