Man Charged with Robbing Murfreesboro Pike Taco Bell
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Joshua Mangrum is scheduled to appear in court Friday morning as the result of his arrest Wednesday for robbing the Taco Bell restaurant at 990 Murfreesboro Pike.
Mangrum, 41, walked up to the front counter of the restaurant at 10 a.m. Wednesday with what appeared to a weapon covered up under his right arm and demanded money. The frightened manager and her co-workers ran to the rear of the building and out the back door. Mangrum then walked around the counter and ripped out the cash drawer. He was recorded on surveillance video taking it with him.
Hermitage Precinct detectives used the video to identify Mangrum, who fled the area in his mother’s green Kia Soul. He was subsequently located at his mother’s house on Central Pike and arrested on a charge of aggravated robbery. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $15,000.
