Precinct-Based Undercover Detectives Charged 72 Persons This Week

Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s eight precincts charged 72 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

Midtown Hills Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on Nolensville Pike, Thompson Place, and Timmons Street. Detectives seized 3.8 pounds of marijuana and $3,461 cash.

South Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Lincoln Street, Harding Place, Tanglewood Court, Haywood Lane, and Wallace Road. Detectives seized 1.1 grams of cocaine, two grams of heroin, three ounces of marijuana, 5.5 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 13 LSD tablets, and one gun.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 7 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Glengarry Drive, Boscobel Street, Fairfield Avenue, and Lafayette Street. Detectives seized two grams of cocaine.

West Precinct detectives charged 3 persons as the result of investigations on Hampton Street and Highland Park Drive. Detectives seized 17 prescription pills, 2.4 grams of marijuana, seven grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, and $3,380 cash.

North Precinct detectives charged 3 persons as the result of investigations on Brick Church Pike, Trinity Lane, Batavia Street, 23rd Avenue North, and Buena Vista Pike. Detectives seized two grams of cocaine, and one gram of heroin.

Madison Precinct detectives charged 8 persons as the result of investigations on Kate Street, Cheyenne Boulevard, Creekwood Avenue, Milliken Drive, and Coreland Drive.

East Precinct detectives charged 9 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, Gallatin Pike, and Joyce Lane. Detectives seized 18.1 grams of cocaine, 2.2 grams of heroin, 6.3 grams of methamphetamine, 16 oxymorphone pills, 180 grams of marijuana, and $2,619 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on Middleton Street, Lafayette Street, 6th Avenue South, and 5th Avenue South. Detectives seized five grams of marijuana, seven grams of cocaine, one gram of heroin, and five suboxone strips.

Citizens suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
