Man Fatally Wounded Saturday Outside a Nashville Motel Identified Through Fingerprints as Texas Resident
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The man fatally wounded outside the Red Roof Inn on Claridge Drive Saturday afternoon has been identified through his fingerprints as Samuel Eugene Robinson, 46, of Houston, Texas. Robinson’s fingerprints were on file as a result of his multiple arrests in Texas.
The investigation to this point shows that Robinson’s murder is linked to a marijuana distribution conspiracy. Ninety-nine vacuum sealed packages of marijuana weighing a total of 218 pounds and worth more than $500,000 on the street were recovered from suitcases inside a room at the motel Saturday.
The investigation into this case by Hermitage Precinct detectives and the Major Case Task Force of the Specialized Investigations Division is ongoing.
