Man Killed Tuesday in 2-Vehicle Collision on Murfreesboro Pike Identified
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The man killed Tuesday at 6:50 p.m. when he collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer on Murfreesboro Pike at Arlington Avenue is identified as Dylan Rossley, 21, of Bell Road.
The preliminary investigation shows that Rossley was driving a Ford U-Haul west on Murfreesboro Pike when he collided with the rear of a Kenmore tractor-trailer driven by Ronte Laster, 45, of Nashville. According to a witness, traffic had slowed when Rossley approached the intersection at a high rate of speed and struck the tractor-trailer. Rossley, who was wearing his seatbelt, died at the scene. Laster was not injured.
There was evidence of alcohol and drug involvement on the part of Rossley. Toxicology testing will be conducted on Rossley to determine whether impairment was a contributing factor.
