Three Persons Charged in Connection with Wednesday Night's Shooting of Two Men on Jenkins Street

North Precinct detectives have charged three persons in connection with Wednesday night’s gunfire outside a market in the 1700 block of Jenkins Street that left two men wounded and hospitalized.

Dontario Graham, 18, is being held without bond on charges of attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, felony gun possession and marijuana possession. Graham admits to shooting the victims, who are two men, ages 22 and 18. Graham claimed that the 18-year-old had robbed one of his friends.

The investigation shows that Graham was a rear seat passenger in a Nissan Sentra that was exiting the market onto Garfield Street at 9:15 p.m. Graham got out, shot the victims and got back into the car, which fled to South Nashville. In the Sentra with Graham were Robert Barber, 19, the driver, and Jazmin Gray, 20. They are both charged with being accessories after the fact of attempted criminal homicide and marijuana possession. Barber is also charged with unlawful gun possession.

Juvenile Crime Task Force officers responded to South Nashville after receiving information that the Sentra had fled to that part of town. Task Force officers found the car parked at Overlook Apartments on Bell Road. Graham, Barber and Gray were still inside and taken into custody with assistance from South Precinct Flex officers. Also in the car were two semi-automatic pistols, both with extended magazines.
