Detectives Working to Identify Gunman and Accomplice who Shot Woman During Robbery

North Precinct detectives are working to identify two young men who Monday night robbed Kebab Gyros and Pita Bar restaurant at 2288 Rosa L. Parks Boulevard.

The suspects entered the restaurant at 6:15 p.m. One jumped over the counter and made an employee open the cash register at gunpoint while the second suspect acted as a lookout. When she opened the register, both suspects grabbed cash from the drawer.

As the suspects fled they fired shots, striking the employee in the foot. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she was treated and released.

Both suspects are young black men. The gunman covered his face with a white cloth. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the front and a black backpack. The lookout wore a black down-style jacket, blue jeans, white shoes, and a multi-colored backpack.

Anyone recognizing the suspects from the attached surveillance photos is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
