Metro Nashville Wins APWA Project of the Year Award


Mayor, Public Works Officials Accept National Honor At Conference in Denver

The Metro Nashville/Davidson County Government 2010 Flood Recovery Effort was recently selected as one of the American Public Works Association’s (APWA) “Public Works Projects of the Year.”

The awards are given annually to recognize contributions and achievements in the public works field. Nashville Mayor Karl Dean and officials from Metro Public Works attended the 2011 International Public Works Congress and Exposition September 19-21 in Denver to accept the award.
