Shelbyville Man Killed Sunday in Single-Vehicle Crash on Harding Pike Identified

The man killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash at 4400 Harding Pike is identified as Joseph Esposito, 34, of Shelbyville, Tennessee.
Esposito was driving a 2018 Nissan Sentra east on Harding Pike at 10:40 p.m. when, for reasons unknown, the car traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Esposito, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.
There was no evidence of alcohol/drug involvement at the scene. Toxicology testing will be conducted to determine whether alcohol/drugs played a role in this fatal crash.
