Nashville Fire Marshal’s Office Operational Permit Fees to Increase

New fee schedule for Operational Permits go into effect May 1, 2020

The Nashville Fire Marshal’s Office will implement a new fee schedule for operational permits required by the Fire Code on May 1, 2020. The increase is according to Metro Resolution RS2020-197, passed into law February 19, 2020.

According to the Metropolitan Fire Prevention Code (Metro Code of Ordinances Chapter 10.64) a property owner or owner’s authorized agent who intends to conduct an operation or business, or install or modify systems and equipment that are regulated by this code, shall first make application to the Fire Marshal’s office to obtain the required permit.
