Two Persons Arrested After Guns, $187,000 Cash and Marijuana Recovered from Bell Road Condo in Antioch
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
South Precinct Crime Suppression Unit detectives this afternoon arrested a federal drug felon and his female friend after recovering nearly 25 pounds of marijuana, four fully loaded guns, multiple loaded gun magazines, and $187,280 from their condo in the 1300 block of Bell Road.
Arrested were federal probationer Usiamrin Chaleunsak, 40, and Thoa Pham, 30.
Detectives went to the condo today to follow up on a reported robbery there last Thursday afternoon during which neighbors reported that shots were fired after Pham was confronted by two masked men as she arrived home. Pham later told officers the men took her purse.
During a consent search of the condo today, detectives found significant fire power, money in a safe, and, ultimately, the vacuum sealed marijuana stashed in the attic. Also seized was a decommissioned unmarked police vehicle Chaleunsak had apparently purchased at auction.
Chaleunsak is charged with felony marijuana possession, violation of the crooks with guns law, gun possession by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set by a judicial commissioner at $30,000. Federal authorities were notified of his arrest.
