Teen Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash Identified

The driver killed just after midnight Sunday in a single-vehicle crash in the 4500 block of Nolensville Pike has been positively identified as Milia Karina Cruz-Estrada, 18, of South Nashville.

The preliminary investigation shows that Cruz-Estrada was driving a 2007 Saab southeast on Nolensville Pike during a heavy rain storm when she lost control of the car. The Saab left the roadway, struck a concrete wall, and collided with a utility pole on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Cruz-Estrada, who was wearing her seatbelt, died at the scene. There was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement at the scene.
