Man Arrested for Last December's Fatal Stabbing of a Fellow Rooming House Resident
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The investigation into last December’s fatal stabbing of Marcus N. Black, 59, at a rooming house on 22nd Avenue North led to Wednesday’s arrest of Marquoise Jones, 34, on a charge of criminal homicide.
Jones, who was also a resident at the rooming house, had claimed that he stabbed Black in self-defense during a fight. At the time of the fight, Jones was under an order of protection obtained by Black to avoid contact with him. The decision to charge Jones was made after a review of the investigative file by the District Attorney’s Office.
