Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on I-65 in Madison Identified

The man killed in Tuesday’s 3:45 a.m. single-vehicle crash on I-65 South in Madison is identified as Anthony Tomarchio, 21, of White House.

The preliminary investigation shows that Tomarchio was driving a 2000 Saturn south on I-65 at a very high rate of speed when he traveled off the roadway near the Old Hickory Boulevard exit and struck a guardrail. The vehicle rolled over and became wedged between two sound barrier walls. Tomarchio, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car. He died at the scene.

There was no evidence of alcohol involvement at the scene.
