Participants receive personal, supportive mentoring from New Dialect faculty as they embark on creating and directing their own dances. New Dialect’s goal is to nurture and encourage each girl’s experience with the creative process and inspire their understanding of contemporary dance on both a personal and collective level. New Dialect believes contemporary dance is a wonderful means to empower the next generation of women to embrace creative leadership. Dance Makers provides a platform for young women to take risks and use their voices with confidence–both in and outside the studio.

Director Ginny Shockley will choose a show that will challenge and energize campers to learn new skills, polish old skills, and give them a hand in the creative aspects of a full production.
