The MNPD invites you to a one hour discussion concerning your future. During this orientation, topics will be discussed such as: how to prepare for the Civil Service/Physical Agility Test, what you need to know about the hiring process, how to prepare and successfully complete the Training Academy, and how the Field Training Officer (FTO) program can help you prepare for a rewarding career with the Metro Nashville Police Dept.

If it has been your life long goal to become a police officer or if you have been interested but did not think you had what it takes, this orientation is for you. Come and join us for an hour long discussion that can put you on the path to a fulfilling career with the MNPD!

In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 by increased social distancing, our Recruitment Unit will not be conducting orientation as usual until further notice. However, a virtual orientation will be held on the current posted dates instead. Email Sergeant Cliff Knight at clifton.knight@nashville.gov stating the orientation date that you want to view and you will receive further instructions.
