Metro Nashville Government Parking Information
Visitors and all-day parkers can conveniently locate one of a combined 4,000 metered and garage parking spaces provided by Metro Nashville Government. These parking opportunities stretch from the Bicentennial Mall on the north to Franklin Street and the Korean Veterans Boulevard on the south; along the Cumberland River and East Nashville to the revitalized Demonbreun Street/Music Row and Interstate 40 on the west. More than 10,000 more spaces are offered by privately-owned parking facilities throughout the city.
Currently, Metro owns and operates two public parking facilities: The Church Street Plaza Garage (Downtown Library) at 151 6th Avenue North, and the underground Public Square Garage at the corner of James Robertson Parkway and 3rd Avenue South. (This facility is part of the Historic Metro Courthouse complex and has two entrances: off James Robertson Parkway and off Gay Street.)
Rates at Metro-owned downtown parking facilities vary from $3.00 to $20 for all-day max parking and event parking ranges from $10 to $15. If there is not a scheduled event, night and weekend parking after 5 p.m. ranges from $5 to $10. Some privately-owned facilities located immediately adjacent to the Bridgestone Arena and the downtown entertainment district may cost more. For more information on special event parking rate, visit the Nashville Downtown Partnership’s website or contact Public Works Customer Service at 615-862-5000.
