Join the Metropolitan Historical Commission in celebrating National Preservation Month by honoring the winners of Nashville’s 2022 Preservation Awards. Awards will be presented to winners in the categories of Residential, Infill, and Commercial architecture. The virtual program will air on Metro Nashville Network (MNN). Along with celebrating exceptional preservation projects, the Metropolitan Historical Commission will present five special awards during the ceremony. The Commission will recognize the contributions of Robbie D. Jones with the Fletch Coke Award and will present Achievement Awards to Brian Tibbs and Ridley Wills II. The Commission will present the Commissioners’ Award to The DISTRICT, Inc., and will recognize Dr. Carole Bucy with the Leadership Award in History.
The Preservation Awards program is held annually to celebrate National Preservation Month, which is observed nationally each year in May. Sponsored by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Preservation Month is a national campaign that honors the country’s diverse and irreplaceable heritage and encourages people to celebrate the places that are meaningful to them and to their communities. The theme for Preservation Month 2022 is People Saving Places.
