The Register of Deeds Office will close at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 18, at the 300 Deaderick Street location. The Register of Deeds office will be honored for a third time as one of Nashville’s ‘Best Places to Work.” The Register of Deeds office will also be closed on Thursday, June 19 in honor of the Juneteenth holiday
The office will re-open for normal business hours Friday, June 20. Complimentary street parking is designated by signs along Deaderick Street and Martin Luther King Blvd. (Charlotte Pike) between 3rd and 4th Avenues North.
About the Register of Deeds Office
The Register of Deeds is a constitutional office established by the Tennessee General Assembly as the custodian of legal documents pertaining to real property. The office is currently led by Karen Johnson, who made history as the first woman and African American elected to the position.
