The Downtown Code is a form-based zoning code that applies to much of the Downtown Community Plan area, west of the river. The Downtown Code shapes growth and development in downtown Nashville, and implements policies set out in the Downtown Community Plan. Adopted in 2010, the code has been amended from time-to-time over the ensuing decade, as downtown has continued to grow and evolve as a collection of neighborhoods. Please note that the above linked copy of the Downtown Code reflects amendments from Fall 2021.
