Location
The Centennial Sportsplex Tennis Center is located in the heart of Midtown Nashville (224 25th Avenue North Nashville, Tennessee 37201), and walking distance from Centennial Park and the Parthenon, Vanderbilt University, and numerous retail shops, hotels, and restaurants.
Facility
The tennis center houses thirteen outdoor hard courts, including one 2500 seat stadium court, the Ruthelia Buchi Indoor Tennis Center, with four hard courts, and eight new 36’ permanent courts for ages 8 & under play.
Parks/Centennial are fully committed to the new USTA rule changes for ages 10U & 8U play for kids. All thirteen outdoor courts have 60’ permanent lines for 10U play, and eight permanent 36’ courts for 8U play.
The complex consist of USPTA & USTPR Certified Teaching Professionals who can give you advice on anything and everything to do with the great game of tennis, locker rooms, a pro-shop with demo racquets, racquet repairs (stringing & grips), tennis balls, and a ball machine upon request, or we can arrange a match.

Court Reservation
For court availability and reservations, please call (615) 862-8490 or email sportsplex.tennis@nashville.gov. If the staff is not available to answer your call, please leave a message with the day, date, and time you would like to play, and we will book your court in the order your message was received. You will receive a phone call confirming your court reservation.
Due to special events, tournaments, and league play there are times when courts are not available for general public play. Always contact the Tennis Staff for court availability
The tennis center offers programs for almost any age and every ability level. For players looking for team or individual competitive match play, we offer Adult & Junior Tournaments, a variety of League play, Sportsplex Adult Singles, USTA Team, Combo, Tri-Level, Mixed Doubles, Woman’s NALTA doubles, singles, senior, working woman, Men’s and Woman’s MTTL (Middle Tennessee Team League), NTT (Nashville Team Tennis), and The National Wheelcats (Wheelchair tennis), and we are the home site for the Belmont Bruins and Hume-Fogg tennis teams.
We offer year-round Junior Clinics and Adult Clinics, and Private Lessons. The teaching staff will teach you the techniques and tactics necessary to improve your tennis game. Whether you are just beginning to play, an intermediate, or an advanced player, we will teach you the tennis skills appropriate for every level of play.
Centennial Tennis offers Indoor Contract Time for the fall and winter season. Contract Time allows a player or group of players to reserve a court from October through the end of March. Wheelchair Tennis
The Centennial Tennis Center and the National Wheelcats offer year-round tennis programs for disabled athletes. The Wheelcats offer match play, drills, lessons, and the annual Music City Classic Wheelchair Tournament. During the winter months, practice is on Monday nights from 7:30 - 9:00, and outdoor practice will be on Tuesday nights starting in April.
