Metro Parks has a vast system of parks, recreational facilities, and nature centers. The park system includes easy accessible natural areas, hiking and mountain bike trails, greenways, and access to nearby rivers for exceptional canoeing and kayaking. Metro Parks offers a variety of outdoor oriented programming with a focus on introductory and beginner skill levels. Our goal is to provide unique outdoor recreational opportunities that enhance quality of life and promote physical health while exposing people to our natural environment and the fantastic open spaces in the Metro Parks system. Outdoor Nashville, Metro Parks Outdoor Recreation program, provides trips and instructional clinics for adults, families, youth, seniors, and groups with special needs.  Metro Parks staff will work with individual groups to customize any outdoor experience based on the group’s goals and skill level.
