In 2012 Nashville was named one of the "Best River Towns in America" by Outside Magazine. Come explore Middle Tennessee rivers with a Metro Parks guided excursion. Day trips include paddling instruction by American Canoe Association certified guides, canoe or kayak rental, all the necessary equipment, and shuttle service back to your vehicle, all for $25!

If you are interested in paddling in Nashville without us, check out our Water Access page for put-in and take-out locations!

Community Center Canoe Trip

To promote active healthy lifestyles and to get kids outside and exploring nature, Metro Parks also offers a variety of programming through our community centers. Check with your local center or call 615-862-8400 for more information.

During the colder months, Metro Parks offers boating skills courses at the Centennial Sportsplex pool. These 2 hour courses are fun and informative and are suitable for boaters of all skill level. We teach you how to prepare a float plan, basic paddle strokes, and intro to kayak roll!
