Recruitment SergeantI have been a member of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department since 2005. I am originally from New Orleans and have been in Tennessee since the summer of 2001. My wife and I were both members of the US Army for 6 years and then attended Middle Tennessee State University together. I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master's Degree in Public Service Management from Cumberland University.
After leaving the military and graduating college, I still felt the need to continue serving my community so I joined the Metro Nashville Police Department. I've had the opportunity to work in various units of the department such as patrol, flex, Domestic Violence, and most recently the Recruitment Section. I am also a member of the police department's award winning Drill and Ceremony Team. As an African American who grew up in poverty in the 9th Ward of New Orleans, I witnessed firsthand the need for empathetic police officers. That's why I made the personal decision to become a part of the solution. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, fishing and music.
