Karl Dean is the sixth mayor of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County. He was elected on Sept. 11, 2007 in a runoff election, following a general election where he also received the most votes. Read his full biography
Dean’s priorities are improving schools, making neighborhoods safer and bringing more and better jobs to Nashville. He’s also working to make Nashville a more livable city. Learn more about what Dean is doing to address each of these issues.
