5th annual Tour de Nash set for Saturday morning
The Tour de Nash, a non-competitive walk and bike ride for health, takes to Nashville's streets and greenways this Saturday, May 17. You can walk or bike routes as short as two miles or as long as fifty - details are on the Tour de Nash webpage.
Public comment still welcome on draft Charlotte Pike plan
Planners presented a Draft Corridor Design Plan to property owners and stakeholders at a community meeting May 12; the plan would apply to Charlotte Pike between 42nd Avenue North and Richland Creek in West Nashville. The plan will also receive a public hearing at a future Planning Commission meeting, although no date has been set for that; meanwhile, planners continue to receive public comment and make presentations to neighborhood and community groups.

12th Avenue South community meetings resume in June
Planners will hold two public forums next month to discuss growth and development along 12th Avenue South between Wedgewood Avenue and I-440. This continues a series of meetings which began last summer; all of them contribute to a Detailed Neighborhood Design Plan which will guide future development in the area.First meeting: 6 pm Monday, June 8, at Southside Community Church (formerly Cathedral of Praise), 2080 12th Avenue South
