Metropolitan Social Services (MSS) provides a range of services to help Davidson County residents who are in need. These services promote positive change for individuals and families in times of crisis and economic hardship.

The activities of MSS are guided by a seven member Social Services Board of Commissioners. This independent commission is appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Metropolitan Council. Board members are appointed to five year terms.
