The Nashville Office of the National Weather Service (NWS) the threat of severe weather is low, however a few strong storms will be possible Thursday afternoon and evening.
The entirety of Middle Tennessee is under a Marginal Risk (level 1/5). An NWS Marginal Risk indicates an area of isolated severe thunderstorms that are limited in coverage, intensity, or duration. It indicates that while most storms will stay below severe limits, a few could produce damaging winds.
There are medium to high rain/storm chances this evening, and again Saturday. A few strong storms with gusty winds are possible later Thursday afternoon through early evening, but the severe weather threat is low today and Saturday.
