Office of Internal Audit

Welcome to the Office of Internal Audit (OIA). Our office is charged with performing independent audits and investigations of the Metropolitan Nashville Government. The department was established under Metropolitan Charter Section 8.121 – Division of Metropolitan Audit and Metropolitan Code Section 2.24.300 – Division of Metropolitan Audit.

Mission

The Office of Internal Audit is an independent appraisal agency established to ensure and enhance the integrity, equality, accountability, effectiveness, and efficiency of service activities and to pursue an atmosphere of honesty and mutual trust within the Metropolitan Nashville Government.
