Melissa Baldock has been a Historic Zoning Planner with Metropolitan Nashville since 2011. She has over twenty years of experience working in the field of historic preservation. She spent the first half of her career in New York City working for non-profit organizations that advocate for sound preservation and city planning policies. She also taught a historic preservation course at the State University of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, and has been a lecturer, tour guide, and panelist on a variety of topics related to historic preservation and architectural history. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from New York University, and a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia University.
