Metro Animal Care and Control

Due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus, Metro Animal Care and Control is implementing new measures to reduce the risk to the public, volunteers and employees.

MACC is no longer accepting owner surrenders. Owners considering relinquishing their pets are asked to contact the Pet Safety Net team at 615-862-4017 or email PetHelp.MACC@nashville.gov.

Adoption, reclaim and foster services will only be conducted by appointment to limit person-to-person contact. Please visit PetHarbor.com and enter zip code 37211 to view lost animals brought to the shelter as well as animals available for adoption and foster.

Animal Control Officers will only be responding to high-priority and emergency calls. Officers will wear personal protective equipment in cases when there is a risk of contracting COVID-19.

These measures will be in effect until it is safe for staff and volunteers to go about their normal routines without risk of COVID-19 infection.
