Sustainability Highlights
- 120kW rooftop solar panel array, which is expected to produce approximately 169,000 kWh of energy annually - this is about the same amount of electricity that is needed to power more than 24 average size homes for a year.
- Geo-exchange system for heating and cooling the building – this system uses a heat pump to circulate water through a series of underground pipes, allowing the near-constant underground temperatures (around 50-60 °F) to help cool the building in the summer and help heat it in the winter
- Water-saving faucets and toilets that help the building reduce water use by an estimated 29%
- LED lighting with motion sensors throughout the building
- Electric Vehicle charging stations
- Redeveloped former commercial site
- Educational signage for staff and visitors to learn about sustainability
